On February 16, 2025, the legendary Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championship will kick off, bringing together the world’s top tennis players. Among the stars of the women’s tournament are Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff, and defending champion Jasmine Paolini. The men’s tournament will feature Daniil Medvedev, Andrey Rublev, Alex de Minaur, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Karen Khachanov. The championship will run until March 1, 2025, on WTA and ATP courts.
Meanwhile, on January 25, 2025, the MMA Road to Dubai series will debut at Coca-Cola Arena. The main event will see undefeated Bellator World Lightweight Champion Usman Nurmagomedov (18-0) face Irish challenger Paul Hughes (13-1). Organized with support from PFL and the Dubai Sports Council, the tournament promises to be a breakthrough for MMA development in the region.
